What if I don't need 500 megabytes or 300 Email accounts?

Our accounts come with more features than most of our customers need. Some customers use the email accounts. Others use the streaming media features and the disk space. Our competitive pricing and single-configuration system allows us to offer all our customers more features for a low price. If you don't need a particular feature, that's ok. The price you pay is highly competitive and the account has room for growth!

I already have a website somewhere else. Can I migrate it to Hobby Group?

In most cases, moving your site from another hosting provider to Hobby Group is a simple process. We will help you if you need it. The only sites that may require a little extra work to migrate are sites that use ASP. If the pages on your site are ASP pages, we will be glad to help you determine if migrating to Hobby Group makes sense. Again, most sites move with few, if any, changes.

Can I have telnet, SSH, or some other remote access?

For security reasons, we only offer FTP access and Microsoft FrontPage access. This should be sufficient for any needs.

Do you recommend Microsoft FrontPage for editing my site?

Microsoft FrontPage meets the needs of most web site authors. Hobby Group recommends this tool to anyone who does not require the professional features offered by Macromedia Dreamweaver. We use Dreamweaver at Hobby Group because we believe we can produce better quality web sites with this software.

How much does it cost?

We charge $35 setup fee and $12.95 per month. This adds up to $190.40 for the first year, payable in advance. We accept checks and credit cards. We also accept payments through PayPal. Domain registrations and transfer fees are waived, so the total cost is only $190.40.
